Bouncing bunnies, babies and boys!

Image
The above picture was, believe it or not, the best of the pictures I took of these monkeys.Love how Miri is falling into the whole left by a misplaced pillow.  So, mommy, why didn’t I get any candy?  All I got was this fluffy purple pillow pet?  I don’t know dear, you’ll have to take it up with the Easter Bunny.Pink grass?  I didn’t know it grew in this shade?  I could be getting a whole new shade of grass stains!

Assignment from Mama’s Losin’ ItList 7 things your pet thought about today. We have a bird named Howard Bannister, as in sliding-down-the…but we call him Steve.  He is a blue parakeet, probably 1 year old now with the maturity of a 13 year old (always expects us to clean up after him).In the mind of Steve…1.  So they finally remembered that I needed some fresh water.  Feathered water can be quite difficult to digest and really tickles as it goes down.  2.  Mirror, mirror, on the wall.  Why won’t you say anything?  What’s your name?  Eunice?  Silvia-Louise?  Burnsey?  Judy?  You’re very cute you know.3.  Judy, have you noticed that lady with the black hair seems to only know 3 things to say?  First she whistles that same tune to us over and over again expecting us to join in.  Then she repeats over and over again, “don’t hit your brother!”  Finally, she says…well I’m not actually sure what it is but it’s loud and ornery sounding and ends with Reed, Douglas or Isaac.4.  I want a cracker.…

Spring has Gesprungen!

Spring has sprung!“A weed is a plant that has mastered every survival skill except for learning how to grow in rows.” –Doug LarsonI feel like the ornery bear who has finally come out of hibernation and gotten it’s first bite of something truly delicious.  Gardening, watching the bulbs come up, the blossoms pop, hearing the grass ask if it’s okay to turn green now, oh and seeing the obnoxious weeds make their inevitable appearance, brings life to this girl bone-tired of winter.  It really makes me feel quite giddy.  Please forgive the disturbance if you see me hopping around the yard like a cat high on catnip (Nepeta cataria kingdom Plantae, order Lamiales, in the Lamiaceae family, genus Nepta, Species N. cataria).  “Garden as though you will live forever” –William KentEastern Redbud

Brunch and Easter Egg hunt at Grandma and Grandpa Williams house.  We had a great time visiting and chasing the girls outside.  We don’t’ get down often enough to visit, what is wrong with us?Here are two of the princess cousins wishing they would be let off of the deck in order to run wild in the yard.Twin cousins, yes they run rampant in our family.Miss Maeli getting the spirit of the egg hunt. This is Elizabeth abusing her new found freedom and taking off toward the street.  “Mommy, you can’t catch me!”Miriam:  “Why does my mom keep trying to get me to pick up these colored eggs?  I didn’t leave them out here.”  A long day of play rewarded with a nap on the ride.Below is the let’s-try-to-entertain-bored-brothers activity.  Very fun!  Bows made from popsicle sticks and dental floss with Q tip arrows.  No harm done.  They might have even cleaned their ears when they were done.Elizabeth…need I say more?
